Google Ads · Blitz Growth, Melbourne

Your social ads create the demand. Google decides who gets the sale.

Someone sees your Meta ad, doesn't click, and Googles you four days later. If your brand name isn't bought, a competitor's is. We run Search, Shopping and Performance Max as the layer that closes what paid social opens - not as a channel pretending to work on its own.
We'll pull your live ads from the Meta Ad Library before we speak, then show you which concepts are carrying your spend, what's fatigued, and what you haven't tested yet.
Brand defence, Shopping and high-intent search - the three places you should be showing up.

What we actually run

Three formats. One job: catch the demand before someone else does.

We deliberately don't sell you Display or YouTube as a primary channel. For a DTC brand running paid social, three formats do the work - and they only work when they're built around what your Meta and TikTok campaigns are already doing.
01
Search

Your own brand name is the cheapest conversion you can buy.

Branded and high-intent non-branded Search, structured so you're not paying to compete with yourself. Brand terms defended, category terms tested against real margin, and match types kept tight enough that PMax doesn't quietly eat the budget.

Shopping

Your feed is the creative.

Your Shopify sales channel pushes the feed to Merchant Center automatically - that part is solved. What isn't is what happens next: how products get segmented into campaigns, which ones earn budget, and which quietly absorb it. We structure Shopping around product economics so your best-margin lines get the impressions and your dead stock stops bidding.

02
Performance Max

Useful, once you take the wheel off automatic.

PMax works when it's fenced in: asset groups split by product economics, brand traffic excluded so it can't claim credit for demand you already own, and search-term visibility forced open. It also needs its own creative - mostly images, at ratios social never asks for. Run it unfenced and it will report beautifully while cannibalising your Search account.

Our honest position

Google is not your growth engine.
It's your safety net.

Most agencies will happily sell you Google Ads as a standalone growth channel. For a DTC brand, that's usually wrong - and expensive.
Search volume for your category is finite. You cannot grow past it by bidding harder. What actually grows a DTC brand is demand creation on Meta and TikTok, with Google positioned underneath to catch every person that demand sends looking. Get that order wrong and you spend twelve months optimising a channel that was never the constraint.
That's why we only take Google Ads clients who are already running paid social, or who are starting both with us at once. If you want Google run in isolation, a specialist SEM agency will serve you better and we'll say so on the call.
30%

of conversions, in two
weeks

For a DTC skincare brand, branded Search captured 30% of total conversions within two weeks of relaunching Google alongside Meta. For a brand with demand already built, many of those conversions were going to happen anyway - the only question was whether you captured them or a competitor did. Where genuine category search exists, Google earns net-new demand too.
How it works

Built around your social account,
not next to it.

01

Full-funnel audit

We look at your Meta and TikTok accounts before we touch Google. Where demand is being created, which products get attention, what people search after they see your ads. Google strategy written from that, not from a keyword tool in isolation.
02

Build the harvest layer

Brand defence live first - fastest payback, always. Then Shopping restructured around product margin, then high-intent Search, then PMax fenced in and given its own creative. Sequenced so each layer is measurable before the next launches.
03

Read it as one account

Weekly reporting per channel, plus blended CAC across Meta, TikTok and Google so you can see the business, not just the channels. Channel-level ROAS in isolation is how brands get talked into decisions that shrink the business.

Why Blitz

Most SEM agencies
only see one channel.

We sit inside live Meta and TikTok accounts every day for Australian DTC and app brands. When we build your Google account, we already know which products your social creative is pushing, which audiences are responding, and what people type into Google after they have seen you.
A pure SEM agency is optimising blind to all of that. They'll get your Google account to look good in isolation - and never notice that the thing constraining your growth was upstream.

One blended number

We report blended CAC and ROAS for the business, alongside channel-level numbers for each channel. Used alone, channel ROAS counts the same sale more than once.

Feed-first for Shopping

Most DTC Shopping accounts are held back by product data, not bids. We fix the feed before we touch the budget.

PMax with the fences up

Brand excluded, asset groups split by margin, search terms forced visible. Automation on our terms.

We'll tell you what to fix first

In their words

Brands that stopped guessing
which channel to credit.

“We've been working with Blitz on Zetta Florence across Meta and Google, and they've been a genuine creative and performance partner for the brand. What they do well is think about creative properly - they've helped us source content creators aligned with the Zetta Florence aesthetic, and the batch creative approach they run has made testing much faster and more organised.”

Questions

The things brands actually ask us.

Will Google Ads cannibalise my Meta results?

Not if the accounts are read together. It will look like cannibalisation if you judge each channel on its own last-click ROAS, because Google gets credit for demand Meta created. That's a measurement problem, not a strategy problem. We report blended CAC across all channels alongside each channel's own numbers, so the two aren't competing for credit for the same customer.

Do I need Google Ads if my Meta is already working?

Usually yes, and specifically brand defence. When paid social is working, it's actively generating branded searches. If you're not bidding on your own name, you're paying to create demand that a competitor converts. It's typically the cheapest customer acquisition in the whole account.

What's the minimum spend for Google Ads to work?

We qualify on total media spend rather than Google spend - we work with brands running $15k+/month across all channels. How much of that belongs in Google isn't a fixed number, because the real constraint is conversion volume. Brand defence works at almost any spend. A full harvest layer needs roughly 30 conversions per 30 days per campaign before Smart Bidding behaves, and whether you hit that at $2k or $8k depends on your average order value and conversion rate.

Do I need separate creative for Google Ads?

Less than for social, but not none. Search needs copy, not video. Shopping runs on the product photography already in your store. Performance Max is where the work sits: it leans on images rather than video, and it wants ratios your social creative doesn't have - 1.91:1 landscape and 4:5, where Meta and TikTok give you 1:1 and 9:16. Some assets cross over, but expect a resize and crop pass rather than a straight copy across.

How long until Google Ads shows results?

Brand defence performs almost immediately - the demand already exists. Shopping typically needs two to four weeks after a feed rebuild for the data to stabilise. Performance Max needs the longest runway and the most supervision. We sequence launches in that order so you see returns while the slower layers learn.

Do you work with brands outside Australia?

Yes. We're Melbourne-based and most of our clients are Australian DTC and app brands, but we run accounts across Europe and the US too.
